I created this system (which includes multiple templates and linked tables) after trying multiple different goal setting and tracking systems. **I have taken the best of what I've learned from each of those to make one system that incorporates all of the best parts of the others I have used in the past.**
It will work well for very detailed and analytical people as well as for those who are less detail oriented - simply by choosing which goal templates to use when setting goals. The process itself of setting goals and doing regular reviews is the same and will work for everyone!
It includes a section to help you determine what your values and priorities are in your life so that the goals you set will be ones that are aligned with those values and priorities -_ensuring that you set goals that are actually important to you personally._
There is**one master goal list**where all of the goals are entered. And sub-goals can be linked to a parent goal, so that large goals can be broken down into smaller, more manageable ones and help you see the progress you're making toward the large goals which would otherwise normally seem overwhelming.
The main page shows multiple tables of linked versions of the master database filtered to only show the currently active goals that should be focused on, based on whether they are big goals, yearly, monthly, or weekly goals.
There are **helpful templates** to use for setting better goals and tracking progress on them also.
Finally, the regular reviews also use templates which will show goals that have been completed during that time period, and help you judge how well you're progressing toward other goals as well as which new goals you should focus on next.
