Overview

Who is this template useful for?

For a person in the tech community who creates or consumes content, both in written format with their own blog or a third party blog such as DEV.to or Hashnode, as well as giving/attending talks or podcasts in the community.

It will help you, as it has helped me, to organize your weeks and not overlap events and talks you plan to give or attend. You will be able to prioritize and have the same place to write down the articles, ideas, personal projects and talks you plan to produce, as well as define their content or make notes.

What does the template include?

Usage description

On each page I will leave a description so that you know how to use each template and get the best out of it.

Icons

Representative icons for each type of task or event, so you can identify at a glance what you have pending in your pages.

Events page

The Events page comes with 8 defined templates to help you classify the types of appointments or events you have planned.

Each new event can be related to one or more tasks. In my case, when I create a new event type Talk, I associate it with a task to prepare the talk itself.

Tasks page

On the Task List page, you will be able to organize your tasks by category (the columns), so that you can focus on the first task of the category you are interested in doing today.

On this page you will find 6 templates, each one related to a specific category. During a year and a half of creating content, I have been able to establish the categories that encompass all the tasks I have needed to write down, and they have helped me improve my performance and productivity.

As the relationship with events is bidirectional, you can always associate one or more events to the task as well. This will help you to see, wherever you are, the relationship and the deadline of your tasks.

Blog page

On the blog page you will find a basic template with a guide of what kind of content you can include in your articles, and some useful tips.

Projects page

And, for the project page, I have prepared a template with guidelines on how to present your projects and what information to write down. This way you can not only have the information stored, but you can export it as a PDF or publish it to have a good showcase of your work.

Remember that if you have any questions, or want ideas on how to extend the template, you can always contact me at @dawntraoz.
